Model identity readings for one models.dev entry (GET /v1/models/identity/{provider}/{model}, ids as models.dev keys them, e.g. /v1/models/identity/anthropic/claude-sonnet-4-5): the id models.dev maps it to (canonical_model_id), knowledge cutoff, context and output limits, and recorded change events (pointer changed, cutoff changed, context changed, new, removed), each with its timestamp. Naming-based labels (e.g. a dated sibling id) are marked inferred. GET /v1/models/identity lists providers and the last 7 days of changes; ?provider= lists one provider's entries. Data: models.dev (MIT License, Copyright (c) 2025 models.dev), full notice and fetch time in every response; not affiliated with models.dev. Unknown ids get 400 before any payment. JSON. Use when an agent needs to know which id a model id maps to, or a model's knowledge cutoff, with change history (models.dev data).
