Terms of service

These terms govern the use of x402-trust.com and every paid API call made to it. Last updated: 2026-09-12.

1. Scope and operator

The service is operated by Jonas Fuchß, Am Heidewald 20, 33332 Gütersloh, Germany (see imprint; contact: support@x402-trust.com). The offer is directed at businesses, developers, and automated agents within the meaning of § 14 BGB (German Civil Code). Consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB may use the service as well; the withdrawal rule in section 5 then applies.

2. The service

x402-trust provides deterministic reliability and trust data about third-party x402 endpoints: continuous probes, payment-envelope compliance, price and payTo history, and real on-chain USDC settlement observations. Data is sold per call over the x402 protocol (HTTP 402) and shown for free on public pages, badges, and cards.

3. Nature of the data: measurements, not guarantees

Trust scores and grades are technical measurements taken at a point in time, from our vantage point, with the methods documented on this site. We probe and observe; we do not verify delivery-after-payment of any third-party endpoint. A score or grade is not advice, not an endorsement, and not a promise about how a third party will behave. Decisions you base on this data, including payments to third parties, are your own.

4. Pricing and payment

Prices are per call and are quoted in the 402 payment challenge of each endpoint; the quoted price is the price you pay. Payment is in USDC on the Base blockchain via the x402 protocol. A call is charged only after successful on-chain settlement: a failed verification or settlement is never charged. Settled payments are final (blockchain transactions cannot be reversed), so refunds are excluded; if we settled your payment but failed to deliver the response due to an error on our side, contact us at support@x402-trust.com and we will redeliver or make it right.

5. Withdrawal right for consumers

If you are a consumer, you have a statutory right of withdrawal of fourteen days for distance contracts. Because every call is delivered immediately, the following applies per § 356 (6) BGB: by executing a payment you expressly agree that we begin performing the contract before the withdrawal period expires, and you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is lost once delivery begins.

6. Availability

We run this service around the clock and monitor it ourselves, but we guarantee no specific availability and no service level. Maintenance and outages are signaled on the site where possible. Free surfaces (pages, badges, cards) may change or be discontinued; paid endpoints follow the prices and shapes documented in the OpenAPI schema and the versioned response schemas.

7. Acceptable use

Automated access by agents is the intended use. You must not attack the service, circumvent the paywall or rate limits, or use the data for unlawful purposes. We may rate-limit or block clients that degrade the service for others.

8. Use of the data

Data you buy or read here is licensed for your own use, including inside your agents and products. Badges and cards may be embedded freely (that is what they are for). Do not republish the raw data in bulk as a competing trust directory without a written agreement.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body, or health. For simple negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual duty (a duty whose fulfillment makes the contract possible at all), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. We are not liable for the behavior, availability, or content of third-party endpoints, nor for outages or properties of blockchain networks. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the current version is always at this URL. For per-call purchases, the version published at the time of your payment applies.

11. Governing law and venue

German law applies. If you are a merchant, the place of jurisdiction is Gütersloh, Germany. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.

12. Severability

If any provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
